challenges of zimbabwe 2018 elections

Elections are a root of democracy as they are now universal. For them to be incredible e need to see high standards before, during and after votes. why should government authorities ban demonstrations hiding behind an excuse that they could turn violent yet its the police who turn violent on peaceful demonstrations. They use unnessary demonstrations and excessive force against protesters, observers and even journalist. However the police seem to forget that they are duty is to arrest those who demonstrate in violence, limiting demonstration is unconstitutional. In a democratic country, opposition organisation should freely take part in any campaigning without fear. Zimbabwe can only prosper in all aspects of development if the electorate believes that the elections  have been fair and this aspect on its own  can be a powerful catalyst for a better governance and socio-economic development. This can only come out through proper voter registration. .......... to be continued
